That's the situation facing both the remaining teams in the 2010 Horizon League Baseball Championship, as #2 Milwaukee was able to stave off elimination Saturday afternoon in defeating #1 Wright State, 14-7.

Day three of the 2010 Horizon League Baseball Championship is undoubtedly the most intriguing afternoon and evening of the four-day (or possibly five-day) event. The day begins with five teams — three facing elimination, and two looking for the quickest path to the championship game. It's a showcase of the best the League has to offer.

As student-athletes know all too well, this time of year can be incredibly hectic. That's especially true for student-athletes competing in spring sports, as they try to end both their academic and athletic year — or career — on a high note.
This week I was unable to track down the winner of The People's Choice due to the aforementioned circumstances, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't still be recognized.

The most highly-touted high school commitment in the history of the Horizon League committed to the Detroit today. Ray McCallum Jr. signed his national letter of intent and committed to his father, Ray McCallum Sr., in a somewhat expected move that has a huge impact on the landscape of the Horizon League.

Let's face it... we all knew this day was just around the corner.
It would be rare to find a person that did a double-take when the news came down this morning that Brad Brownell had agreed to become the next men's basketball coach at Clemson University.
