Sarah Hagen of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women’s soccer team was named a Preseason All-American by Soccer America magazine, the publication announced Wednesday.

Senior Jeremy Waldhart of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming team has been named a member of the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America At-Large Men's Team. 

The University of San Diego scored six runs in the first two innings and cruised from there in beating the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team in an elimination game at the NCAA Tempe Regional at Packard Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Defense was the star of the show for both teams Friday night in the NCAA Tournament, as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team lost to Arizona State, 6-2, in game one of the Tempe Regional at Packard Stadium. The Panthers (33-25) could not overcome a quick start by the Sun Devils (48-8) and will now play San Diego in their next game Saturday afternoon.

Youngstown State junior Danielle Curry qualified for the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a 12th place finish in the shot put (15.71 meters) at the NCAA East Regional at the Irwin Bell Track in Greensboro, N.C.
